Our charitable foundation, the Kim and Evans Family Foundation is excited to host the Ryan Minor Memorial Golf Classic scheduled for Tuesday, October 15, 2024, (registration at 8:30am with shotgun start at 10:00am) at the extraordinary The Links at Lighthouse Sound in Bishopville, Maryland. Money raised will support the Ryan Minor Memorial Fund, which will help local special-needs children.
Ryan Minor was a professional baseball player who played for the Baltimore Orioles and Montreal Expos. After his time on the field, Ryan transitioned into coaching, where he became a respected Minor League coach and manager. Ryan was instrumental in the success of the Delmarva Shorebirds. He led them to their first-ever South Atlantic League Championship in 1997 then returned to the organization as a coach and eventual manager. His #44 Jersey was the first-ever Shorebirds number retired in team history. His legacy is one of mentorship, leadership, and more importantly, determination, courage, and strength. He was incredibly passionate about sports as well as special-needs children causes. The Ryan Minor Memorial Fund was established to better the lives of special-needs children on Delmarva. We are humbly looking for sponsors and golfers to help support the event and mission.
